Tirzepatide is a once weekly injection that works by slowing down gastric motility helping patients feel fulling longer leading to less oral intake. Tirzepatide also works by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone that signals satiety and fullness on 2 receptors. Additionally this hormone encourages the pancreas to create more insulin transporting more glucose for energy instead of storing it as fat. All weight management services include nutritional guidance/counseling and on demand access to our provider during business hours.
Benefits of Tirzepetide:
Improves Metabolic Function
GLP-1s medications regulate blood sugar levels by increasing insulin and decreasing glucagon only when blood sugar levels are high. GLP-1s ( Semaglutide, Ozempic, Wegovy) also improve whole-body energy metabolism by increasing the insulin sensitivity of muscle cells and regulating fat cell development.
Reduces Inflammation
GLP-1 and GIP medications are clinically proven to reduce inflammation markers, leading to decreased inflammatory response and oxidative stress.
Regulates Digestion
GLP-1 and GIPs slow how quickly food moves from the stomach to the intestines. This helps you feel full for longer by regulating sugar absorption in the intestine.
